Our Founders
Mr Lim See Wah
Mr Lim See Wah is the Chairman and CEO of Hyphens Pharma International Limited, a company listed on the SGX Catalist Board since 2018. The group was founded in Sept 1998, and he has built it into Singapore’s leading pharmaceutical & consumer healthcare company. He graduated with a BSc (Pharm) Hons from the National University of Singapore in June 1992. He also obtained a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from the Singapore Institute of Management in May 1994. He had also taken part in the UC Berkeley-Nanyang Advanced Management Programme and the Spring Singapore: Executive Leadership Development Programme at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in August 2017. Under his leadership, Hyphens has grown into a company with more than 500 staff and direct presence in 5 countries across South East Asia. As Chairman and CEO, he is responsible for both the corporate governance of the company, as well as the strategy and development of the business. With a vision to provide a better quality of life for its customers, employees and the community, Hyphens has actively contributed to the well being of the community through its various social outreach projects. Mr. Lim See Wah was a member of The Singapore Pharmacy Council for the term of 1 September 2020 to 31 August 2023.
Ms Chee Wai Yee
Ms Chee is a veteran social work leader who has assumed practice and management roles, with health and social service agencies. Since receiving her MSc in Palliative Care from King’s College London, she has contributed in training and teaching roles to build competencies of social workers and healthcare professionals, to promote advance care planning, psychosocial care for patients and caregiver support, including bereavement support. Known for her pioneering spirit and innovative service projects, Wai Yee received the Outstanding Social Worker award from the President of Singapore in 2016. In July 2023, Wai Yee co-founded The Compassionate Network, a new startup that supports family caregivers to fulfil their roles and achieve peace of mind, when their loved ones are nearing the end of life. She hopes to promote adaptive caregiving to build personal resilience, and healthy grieving in bereavement. She also teaches end-of-life care and grief counselling in the Master of Gerontology and Master of Counselling programmes with the Singapore University of Social Sciences. She is a member with the NUHS Patient and Family Advocacy Council and is active as a Social Service Fellow with the National Council of Social Service. Beyond Singapore, Wai Yee teaches and supervises on the China Psychosocial Program initiated by the Asia Pacific Hospice Palliative Care Network (APHN).
Dr Ng Wai Chong
Dr Ng Wai Chong is a practising community aged-care physician and the Founder-CEO of NWC Longevity Practice, a social enterprise providing aged care consultancy, training, research, and direct clinical services. He is recognised as a thought-leader in healthy ageing and caregiving with interests in community aged-care system development, primary care, case management, caregiver care and comprehensive needs assessment. Prior to setting up NWC Longevity Practice, Dr Ng was the Chief Clinical Affairs of Tsao Foundation. He has received numerous awards and accolades including the Minister for Health Award in 2019, Agency for Integrated Care’s (AIC) Community Care Super-tasking Hero Award, having sat on more than 20 AIC committees from 2010 – 2020 and the MSF Volunteer & Partner Award 2022. He is a member of the Review Board under the Vulnerable Adult Act since its inception, as well as the Board of Visitors under the Office of Public Guardian. Dr Ng is also currently Health Specialist and Senior Palliative Care Specialist with the Asian Development Bank; Medical Director, Home Nursing Foundation, and Singapore’s InterRAI Fellow. He is a Board Member, Happee Hearts Movement, Care for the Elderly Foundation and The Compassionate Network.

Adjunct Assistant Professor Neo Han Yee
Dr Neo Han Yee is a Senior Consultant and Head of the Department of Palliative Medicine in Tan Tock Seng Hospital. He obtained his specialist board accreditation for Geriatrics Medicine in 2012 and subsequently pursued a second specialisation in Palliative Medicine. In 2013, he was awarded a Health Manpower Development Plan to further his interest in Clinical Ethics in Hawaii. Upon his return, he joined the TTSH Clinical Ethics Committee, where he now serves as its Chairman. Dr Neo is also an Assistant Professor with Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, where he teaches Clinical Ethics and Palliative Medicine modules.
Associate Professor Timothy Sim
Dr Timothy Sim is currently an Associate Professor, and Head of the Master in Counselling Programme, in S R Nathan School of Human Development, SUSS. He has published extensively and is the most cited scholar in the field of counselling, family therapy and social work in Singapore. Internationally, he is renowned for his transdisciplinary work in disaster management and social work.
Associate Professor Edward Poon
Dr Edward Poon, currently an Associate Professor with the Singapore Institute of Technology, is also a well sought after academia and practitioner in medical education, nursing education and palliative care consultancy services, both locally and internationally. He served as the Chief Nurse of St Luke’s Eldercare (2010-2017), Director of Nursing at Dover Park Hospice (1999-2010) and Chief Nurse of Ang Mo Kio-Thye Hua Kwan Hospital (2010-2017) in his illustrious clinical career. For his contributions, he was honoured with the President Nurses’ Award and Healthcare Humanity Award, both in 2014.
Mr Albert Tan
Mr Albert Tan is a retiree with extensive experiences as a volunteer. Supporting the sick, dying and their caregivers have been the focus of his volunteering efforts. He has mentored new volunteers in his many years of service, including sitting on the board of the former Nectar Care and being their volunteer leader. Prior to his retirement, Albert worked in the soybean food industry and was a food technologist by training.
Ms Joyce Lim
Ms Joyce Lim is an accomplished professional with more than two decades of experience in corporate and non-profit environments in Asia, Europe and the Middle East. She founded two companies – one to provide strategic communications counsel to multinational financial institutions and a B2B financial education company operating in eight countries with its own proprietary tools. Her recent experience includes advising start-ups and non-profits in Southeast Asia in strategy, business development and partnerships. She is recognised for her cultural-awareness, strong leadership and people skills, and has a keen interest in developing successful partnerships between companies and non-profits.
Venerable Hui Guang
Venerable Hui Guang is the current Abbess of Fu Shan Temple. She was instrumental in the establishment of Nectar Care, a charitable society which operated between 2009 and 2020, to promote death education and support end-of-life patients in Singapore. Her training in Taiwan with the palliative care ward of Taiwan University Hospital prepared her for the role of a spiritual care provider to end-of-life patients. She rallied the support of specialist palliative care doctors, nurses, counsellors and social workers etc. to train a group of 180 volunteers to offer support for end-of-life patients. Many of the training courses were made available to members of the public and more than 1000 participants have benefitted from the learning.
